What the API returns

The FitExerciseDB API ships structured metadata only: name, body part, target muscle, equipment, instructions, MET, secondary muscles. These are facts about exercises. Facts are not copyrightable.

Curation process

The 1,324 exercises in our catalog are derived from public exercise reference data and our own curation. Field names, normalization, and category taxonomies are our own. Where instructions appeared too closely to any specific source, we paraphrase or rewrite for clarity.

Marketplace assets

Animated GIFs are sold separately through the marketplace as one-off royalty-free purchases for a single project. Each asset carries per-account watermarking until purchase and per-asset provenance.

Reporting concerns

If you believe any specific entry needs correction or is sourced incorrectly, contact data@fitexercisedb.com with the exercise ID. We respond within 14 days.
